How did I end up doing this?
I kind of fell into this genre and I’m finding that it’s a lot of fun.
Folks started finding me a while back based on my headshot work.
Things really picked up when dating coach Blaine Anderson reached out and began mentioning me to her Minnesota-based clients, and now I’m booking these kinds of sessions regularly.
But it’s so awkward
The first thing most folks are worried about is feeling super cheesy about the whole photos-for-dating thing.
I totally hear you.
I tend to have a pretty laid-back vibe, so most people say that things go much more smoothly–and are even more fun–than they anticipated.
A recent email from a session in September mentioned some kind words:

What to expect in a session
Sessions are 30-90 minutes, depending on how many different locations and outfit changes you’re going for. Typically, sessions are done in and around your home or around town.
It’s always helpful to be in a space that highlights who you are. For example, time with your dog, a hobby like cooking, reading, etc.
Don’t worry, during the session I’ll help guide you so things are a little less awkward.
Once we wrap up, I’ll send you a proofing gallery online in a few days so you can choose the favorites that you’d like me to edit.
