It’s easy to overwhelm yourself trying to piece together an entire year. Especially one so dynamic & blessed as my 2012 turned out to be. Once pulled together, a collection like this has its own strange gravity. It is evidence of lives and love, and proof of worlds and communities.
It is certainly not comprehensive. So many favorites were tossed aside in the name of relative brevity and the average attention span. Even in that, I’ve got a long one here (just a warning).
From Germany to New Orleans, Scotland to Portland, Canada, Switzerland, New York, Maine & many, many other incredible places, this collection is a sampling of some favorites. I’ve learned many things this year, honed my skills that little bit more, sharpened my habit for a positive attitude and persistent work ethic, and tried to grow. It’s with immense gratitude that I reflect on the past year and all of the kindnesses & opportunities 2012 bestowed on me.
And thank you, all of you, for taking the time to look, like, pin, and share my work. For asking me to take photographs for you or your family. Without you the dream of building a successful photography business would be impossible.
