Easter Dress
Dressing up for family pictures at home is one fun family portrait session idea. For her first Easter they went all out. A perfect pale pink dress, fresh flowers, and a lot of love.
Honestly, I’ve been doing at home sessions for years and I still enjoy it more than almost any other type of shoot. Why? I’ve found that my clients are more relaxed and themselves when they’re home. Kiddos feel comfortable to pull out their favorite toys or snuggle on the couch with mom or dad. Family portraits don’t happen every day so why does it matter to be relaxed? Your personality shines through. Things don’t feel stiff or too posed.
Yes, I offer posing suggestions. I recognize that it’s a necessary part of the job, particularly when working as a natural light photographer. But once things are rolling along it’s great to step back and see what happens. This little one was so delightful. She was all smiles.
