Sunspiration.
My new word to describe this sunny, magic-hour engagement photography goodness. Below are a few featured engagement shots from rustic and snowy Minnesota, to sunny Los Angeles and stunningly gorgeous Hawaii.
It’s common to wonder what to do for your engagement session. Where should we go for our engagement photos? What should we wear to the shoot? Typically, I encourage couples to be themselves. If you’re all dressed up in a way that’s unusual or uncomfortable, those things will show in the photos. You won’t seem completely yourself.
As for locations, it’s always fun to get out in the sun (hence this post). But there are plenty of other ways to enjoy your engagement session, too. Bring your dogs, cook a meal, go fishing, snuggle on the couch, grab a cup of coffee…these are just a few ideas from past clients.
The key is to feel comfortable and to have fun in front of the camera. For me, candid photos are the best, especially when you are relaxed, too.
