I wanted the photos in this Hawaiʻi maternity portrait session to reflect the historical & mystical mood that vintage beach and ocean pictures of Hawaiʻi often radiate. Mixed in with my usual editing style, I’ve added a few experimental old-timey images that, as it turns out, are some of my favorite in this collection.
Cherub and I met nearly seventeen years ago as new undergraduate students at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa where we shared houses and adventures for the next six years. Now, after nearly 11 years away from the islands, I’ve returned to capture this incredibly precious time for Cherub and Stuart as they welcome their first child in early February.
