If you’d like to take your photography in a different direction, check out these great film presets from Really Nice Images. They asked me to try it out and this is what I think:
The first thing I’ll say about what RNI offer is that it is extensive. You can choose to process your images in a variety of ways, including slide, vintage, and instant film presets. Each of these categories contains loads of great options to choose from, a few of which I’ll show in side by side comparison below. (Left unedited SOOC, right with RNI preset)
I’m a big fan of film presets since I’m a fan of film. They allow a digital photographer the opportunity to make gorgeous, film-like images with qualities that are otherwise tough to achieve. As a busy photographer, I’m a big fan of anything that fits my brand and saves me time. And RNI certainly fits the bill.
What struck me most about this collection of presets is the sheer variety of options. There’s something to fit everyone interested in achieving this look with their portfolio, for sure.
