I’m the kind of family photographer that loves a fluid and fun vibe when shooting, like this Lake Nokomis beach summer family session. It’s clear that people relax in front of the camera when they’re having a good time. The ideal scenario is that people forget I’m around for a few minutes altogether. The kiddo featured here is so vibrant and full of energy. I tried my best to capture her spirit and energy in this shoot.
One of the things that I aim to do when I shoot is capture personality. So often this is achieved by capturing movement. Finding a way to transfer energy and movement through a still medium is a challenge that I enjoy.
